The first part of the course focuses on the specific stimulation of the deep veins with targeted exercises to stimulate venous blood flow in an anatomical and physiological sense for each vein of the lower limb. The exercises taught during the second part of this course focuses on the qualitative improvement of respiration and it's aiming at a very precise recruitment of each pulmonary segment.

Course description

    • The heart pumps blood through the arteries to every part of the body and supplies the cells with oxygen. The venous system, in contrast, transports the deoxygenated blood from the body back to the heart.
    • The prevalence of venous insufficiency increases with age with women being affected at an earlier age than men. It is within the legs that the stresses are the greatest and the specific characteristics of the venous system are the most important, since the venous system must move blood against the force of gravity in the standing position.  Problems of venous return include varicose veins, heavy legs, oedema which are common problems a large percentage of people deal with on a regular basis.
    • These problems can be naturally address with precise exercises targeted at the stimulation of deep veins for improved venous return.
    • Through breathing, the respiratory system facilitates the exchange of gases between the air and the blood and between the blood and the body's cells.
    • There are many different exercises one can use to improve the quantity of breathe inhaled. In this course we will focus on targeted exercises to improve the quality of breathing by a deeper stimulation of each pulmonary segment.
